Your Questions About Solar Power System

Donna asks…

What regulations are there for importing a solar power system?

ssadmin answers:

I would venture to say that importing a solar power system is going to be cost prohibitive considering the large manufacturing base in the United States.

However, since the technology is commonly available on the market today, you should be able to import most of the equipment without tariffs. The company sending it to you is expected to pay those costs upfront for you.

Joseph asks…

Is it possible to make a solar power system myself…??

that is inexpensive enough for the average person to afford ?? Are there websites that help with construction and development of solar power systems ??

ssadmin answers:

Yes, but unless you are an electrician you should hire one to do it. The power company will also need to be involved

There are two main ways to do this.

One is a battery system where you go completely off the grid. However the batteries don't last forever.

Two, the power company becomes your battery, as in you sell them what you generate as extra power and buy it when your panels to not generate enough.

Thomas asks…

How does the solar power system work.?

The ones they are adding to roofs of house.

ssadmin answers:

Solar photovoltaic panels work by using sunlight to knock off electrons from specific materials. These electrons travel through wires, which is the definition of electric current.

Solar thermal panels, such as those which are used to heat water, are much simpler. They just get heated up by the sun. That should be common sense.
